Otherwise, @rosewinsall, continuing to force over time will result in success - one other thing to keep in mind is to not assume responses are necessarily your tulpa or not. If you don't know, you don't know. False negatives and false positives can both be harmful.
even directed head pressure like i described with right or left? i'd argue that's comparably reliable. i'll give you generic pressure, but idk about directed
well, you could meditate, you could work on vizualization, you can use symbolism to imagine filling up your tulpa with ppersonality traits you want (completely optional, btw) or just filling them in with life, imagining them "filling out" as it were
i read once that a really good way is that instead of telling your tulpa what traits to have, you take the traits that you want them to have, and explain to them what the traits mean, and why they are important to have P.S piano your guide is amazing
You choose a list of traits for characters, not people. Tulpas are people and will grow and develop their personality gradually through time and experience

Listing traits is pretty meaningless once actual experiences start shaping them

And it can possibly cause them distress or an identity crisis
I don't support personality forcing either for a similar reason to not assuming false positives or negatives. It can result in success, but the goal is not speed of creation. It is success.

And... Personality forcing, just like assuming false positives or negatives, can lead to pitfalls preventing or severely inhibiting that success.

Not to mention, the prior points about it being somewhat silly to tell another person what they are based on what you want them to be, rather than describing what you want them to be and why, allowing them to choose for themselves based on as much information you can give them.
